IT’S NOT THE PROJECT. IT’S THE PROCESS.
The car may be the project, but the process is where the mental-health value lives. Working with your hands can slow racing thoughts, create focus, and turn overwhelming feelings into a problem you can see, understand, and address one step at a time.
The process also teaches patience, frustration tolerance, adaptability, and the confidence to keep going when the answer is not immediately clear. The finished project matters—but sometimes what we rebuild in ourselves along the way matters even more.
